Lawrence J. Sajdecki, O.D., Research Coordinator , has a BS in Visual Science and Biology and a Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. He has been a practicing optometrist for 11 years. He is experienced in binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy, gonioscopy, and punctal dilation/irrigation procedures. Dr. Sajdecki is experienced in neuro-optometry with a special interest in strabismus/amblyopia therapy and contact lenses Prior to receiving his degree in Optometry, Larry received advanced training in histology from Mt. Sinai Hospital with an emphasis in neurohistology. Dr. Sajdecki participated in numerous research studies involving histology and muscle related diseases using histochemical analysis, cytology, and phlebotomy. He was trained in immunofluorescence techniques performed on kidney biopsies and cytochemical techniques for the diagnosis of leukemia. In addition, Larry has completed training with Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon in MindBody and Ayurvedic Medicine, and has completed Professional Training with Dr. Jacob Liberman in the Use of Light and Color for Deep Healing. Kala Bailey, MS (Counseling), MA (Communications), MS (Nutrition), RD, LD, Vice President , has taught communication, nutrition and food systems management at the high school and university levels over the last ten years. Bailey is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Dietetic Association, and is currently on staff at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion working with cancer patients. In her private practice she specializes in anxiety and post-traumatic stress syndrome and eating disorders. She is a member and professional speaker for ANAD, a non- profit Eating Disorders support group.
