George
B. Beranek, M.D., MBA,
Chairman of the Board Dr. Beranek is an Emergency
Physician who practices in both urban and rural practice settings. Although
trained as an allopathic physician, Dr. Beranek encourages the integration of
alternative and complementary therapies in his practice. Dr. Beranek Received
his BA in Biology-Chemistry and Mathematics and his MBA from Rosary College
in River Forest, Illinois. He attended Medical School at the University of Illinois
in Chicago and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University
of Chicago affiliated Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital. In addition to serving
as Chairman of the Board of Spectrum, Dr. Beranek currently serves as a member
of the Board of Trustees at Chicago Medical Society. He also serves as a Delegate
to the Illinois State Medical Society's House of Delegates and as an Alternate
Delegate to the AMA's House of Delegates. He is also a Surveyor for the Joint
Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Dr. Beranek
is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant
professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Rush Medical College and is
a Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois College
of Medicine in Rockford. Dr. Beranek is the President of Trinity Enterprises,
Ltd., a national consulting firm which develops training programs for healthcare
and corporate professionals. These programs utilize a problem based learning
approach to enhance more effective team building, problem solving and facilitation
skills for their personal and professional lives.
Alice
Nixon , LCSW, BCD,
Executive Director , Ms.
Nixon is the Spectrum spokesperson to the annual Midwest Regional Conference
of the Chicago Medical Society, and has given workshops and seminars around
the country to the healthcare profession since 1984. Other recent speaking
engagements include: The Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center's Annual
Mind/Body Conference; Evanston Wellness Forum; Lake Forest Hospital Wellness
Festival; University of Illinois School of Kinesiology; University of Chicago
American Medical Student Association; Chicago Whole Life Expo. Nixon is also
Executive Director of Psychologically Speaking. Alice Nixon is a licensed
clinical social worker in private practice for over 20 years, specializing
in stress management,anxiety, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), depression
and learning disorders. Her modalities include EMDR, Thoughtfield Therapy,
Neurosensory Development and Strobic Colored Light Therapy.

Kala
Bailey, MS (Counseling), MA (Communications), MS
(Nutrition), RD, LD, Vice
President, has taught communication, nutrition and food systems management
at the high school and university levels over the last ten years. Bailey is
a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Dietetic Association,
and is currently on staff at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion
working with cancer patients. In her private practice she specializes in anxiety
and post-traumatic stress syndrome and eating disorders. She is a member and
professional speaker for ANAD, a non- profit Eating Disorders support group
Lawrence
J. Sajdecki, O.D.,
Research Coordinator, has a BS in Visual Science
and Biology and a Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. He has been
a practicing optometrist for 11 years. He is experienced in binocular indirect
ophthalmoscopy, gonioscopy, and punctal dilation/irrigation procedures. Dr.
Sajdecki is experienced in neuro-optometry with a special interest in strabismus/amblyopia
therapy and contact lenses Prior to receiving his degree in Optometry, Larry
received advanced training in histology from Mt. Sinai Hospital with an emphasis
in neurohistology. Dr. Sajdecki participated in numerous research studies involving
histology and muscle related diseases using histochemical analysis, cytology,
and phlebotomy. He was trained in immunofluorescence techniques performed on
kidney biopsies and cytochemical techniques for the diagnosis of leukemia. In
addition, Larry has completed training with Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David
Simon in MindBody and Ayurvedic Medicine, and has completed Professional Training
with Dr. Jacob Liberman in the Use of Light and Color for Deep Healing. Inspired
by his own incredible personal success with Dr. Jacob Liberman's techniques,
Dr. Sajdecki is conducting a comparable series of Spectrum trainings to improve
vision, utilizing colored light and vision training exercises (Spectral Receptivity
Training.)



Marie
De Maria, Manager, Promotions
and Public Relations, is also the Executive
Director of Angel Voices, an organization that promotes the understanding of
metaphysics in all its aspects through local and national media, speaker forums
and other educational vehicles. She was the Executive and Public Relations Director
of the Aurora Chapter of the Easter Seals and Muscular Dystrophy Associations'
annual fundraising event. De Maria produced and directed numerous Cable Access
TV shows in DuPage County, including a series entitled, "Investigating the Paranormal".
She was Talent Producer for Chicago Health Television, which is credited with
the public relations success of the first Whole Life Expo in Chicago in 1996.
As an Illinois State Realtor, she was the recipient of several State awards
for sales excellence and is listed in Sterling's "Who's Who in American Business."


Pamela
K. Jury, Vice President of
Administration, has a private practice in bioenergy and light therapy
techniques. Pamela has had over 20 years experience in the medical community,
including serving as Executive Director of The Genesee County Free Medical Clinic,
which offered comprehensive health care for the employed, uninsured people of
mid-Michigan. Based on the success of this medical clinic, she was contracted
as primary consultant to establish five additional health clinics with the same
mission in the State of Michigan.
Ellen
T. Coughlin, Vice President,
Marketing Services In addition to serving as a Vice President of Spectrum, Ellen
is a Regional Manager for Genesis Productions, Inc., an advertising promotions
company. She is also the Admissions Coordinator for 8 Sylvan Learning Centers
in the Chicago area. Prior to coming to Chicago in 1981, Ellen Coughlin served
as Manager of Marketing Services for Random House, Inc., in New York City.
Monica
Byrne O'Malley, RN, RMAT, Dip. Psychol.,
Director of International Operations, is
also the Director of Training in Neurosensory Development at the Counseling
and Light Spectrum Therapy Center in Carlow, Ireland. Monica has had more than
12 years of experience in utilizing this state of the art technique. She is
the recipient of a National Council for Education Award and is certified in
Social Studies in Parish Ministry and Humanities in Philosophy and Theology.
Monica is becoming a sought-after international personality known for her lively
presentations and teaching style. Radio and television audiences in England
and Ireland recognize her expertise as a Consultant Practitioner and Trainer.
