Spectrum International Institute for Wellness, Education, and Research is a non-profit organization that is committed to educating professionals and the general public in the areas of wellness, health, science, and education. Our interests also include direct and collaborative research activities in these areas. The founders of the Spectrum Institute envision this organization as a forum for the exploration of conventional and innovative programs in health, wellness, and education.
The technology and uses of light and sound are the current focus of our attention. Research has shown that full spectrum and colored light can have a therapeutic effect on the following : vision, ADD/ADHD, SAD, anxiety, jet lag, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, stress, learning performance and enhancement. When colored light is used in conjunction with psychotherapy, practitioners have found their clients better able to elicit insight, evoke unconscious material, transform emotional states, release emotional trauma , resolve depression, and relieve emotional and physical pain. It is Spectrum's current objective to sponsor programs that will explore the possibilities of utilizing light and/or sound to effect emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual change. We have only begun to understand mind, body, and alternative medicine and their influence on psychoneuroimmunology .
